While all forms of craniosacral therapy are based on the work of osteopath Dr. William Sutherland, biodynamic work was developed later in his career. Dr. Sutherland noticed that when he put his hands on a patient, there was an internally driven healing force that would show up within the patient’s body. It would begin to make changes and corrections within their body. He started referring to this healing force as the Breath of Life. He learned how to interact with the Breath of Life and support it in the release of trauma and to bring about healing in their System.
